Quarterly Newsletter: May - July 2023

Dear PIC Member,

We are thrilled to announce that the much-awaited National Conference on Social Innovation is scheduled to take place on November 17th, 2023. Mark your calendars! Applications for this exciting event will open on August 1, 2023. Be sure to secure your spot early.
The conference will be divided into three distinct categories: Urban, Tribal, and Rural Innovations, catering to diverse perspectives and addressing specific challenges faced by each community.
This year, we are particularly excited to introduce a new addition – the ‘Knowledge Sharing Session Series’. This unique series is designed to provide valuable guidance to social entrepreneurs, featuring talks by experienced speakers who will share their expertise and insights. It is an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring change makers to learn from the best in the field.
Our Shared Service Centre (SSC) initiative has been making tremendous strides, offering essential services to all social innovators. Thanks to its inclusive approach, we have been inundated with over 150 service requests and have successfully fulfilled each one. This achievement further reinforces our commitment to empowering social change on a wider scale.
At the SI Lab, we remain dedicated to nurturing Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship endeavours. With your continued support, we are confident that even more social enterprises will benefit from our initiatives, creating a lasting impact in the communities they serve.
As always, we value your input, suggestions, and feedback. Your contributions play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our programmes and events.
Let's come together to inspire, innovate, and create positive change in society.
Looking forward to your participation!

Out of the 18 finalists from the NCSI 2022, thirteen Social Innovators became a part of this year’s SEMP Cohort. This nine-month mentoring programme of the PIC Social Innovation Lab kicked off on the 9th of January 2023, and this cohort started with weekly mentoring meetings.
From January, nine mentors in this virtual accelerator programme spent almost 100-plus hours in 106 mentoring meetings. Mentees have progressed very well with the sessions and valuable inputs from the dedicated team of mentors at PIC SI Lab.
In April 2022, one-on-one mentorship meeting took place with the DigiSwasthya team, who are one of the mentees in the current SEMP cohort.

Shared Service Centre – Social Enterprise (SSC-SE)
The Shared Service Centre for Social Enterprises (SSC-SE) was initially established to complement the Social Enterprise Mentorship Programme (SEMP) of the Social Innovation Lab but has now expanded to serve all social entrepreneurs. The Centre currently provides specialised guidance in the form of curated, quality, and affordable services. As of April 2023, the total number of Social Enterprises in this programme is 76, with 124 services requested.
The services we provide in our Shared Service Centre are Digital Marketing, Accounting and Audit, Legal Compliance, Intellectual Property, Pitch Deck and Facilitating Funding, Export Documentation, Branding and Designing, Website Development and 2D/3D Animation Videos.
As a new addition to the Shared Service initiative this year, we have introduced CSR Fundraising Support, which has already benefitted more than five social innovators.
